provided our family with an audio record of my brother, Joseph,
and his life story. It's a long story that is 96 years old. Our
family is scattered all over, and with the recordings, over time
they will be able to hear his story. Joseph enjoyed being asked
to remember and share his early years with his StoryKeeper.
Finally, generations to come will be able to hear Joe speaking
in his own voice telling his stories as the eldest child, as he
did what he was expected of him by our father and the community
around him.

StoryKeeper, Dan Cormier. Since I am fortunate my parents are
still healthy enough to do so, I wanted to make sure their life
stories were captured in their own words and voices. I feel this

Letter to the Editor (Charlotte Sun)
I wanted to thank the Sun for a community brief concerning a
Mother's Day contest sponsored by StoryKeeper USA. I entered my
mother, Margarette Burke, and she won.
Dan Cormier is the local StoryKeeper in Charlotte County and presented
my mother with a keepsake that I and the rest of my family will
cherish forever. She spent time with Dan reliving memories from her
life and preserving them in a digital recording that was
professionally completed and presented to us on CD. I cannot say enough
about this wonderful service.
I urge everyone who has thought about "saving" those special memories
for their children and grandchildren to consider contacting Dan. You
will be giving your family a gift that is unique and will be cherished
